Digital Sales Training


CAT Publications, whose portfolio comprises Meetings and Incentive Travel, Association Meetings International, and, is a leading light in the world of conference and incentive travel. Despite a background in print, a key part of CAT Publications’ strategic development is to increase their digital revenues. To do this, they realised that they needed to provide the sales team with the relevant support, knowledge and expertise.  As such, VG&A was asked to prepare a one day training course for a sales team of varying digital sales experience. Moreover, the course needed to provide relevant research and metrics to support their revised sales propositions.


VG&A created a tailored “Digital Day” to help the sales team understand the total scale of digital opportunities, as well as by channel, understanding the key metrics, how to respond to common objections and how to construct robust digital sales propositions. The day also included case studies and exercises to illustrate how to demonstrate best practice.


The “Digital Day” and insight allowed the sales team to go out into the market with the confidence to sell digital propositions based on their clients’ requirements and objectives.  Moreover, the feedback from the team was both generous and positive.
